ERGONS Project Marketing Consultant® was engaged by the Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) to conduct a Regulatory Impact Assessment (RIA) of the Basel Amendments, with a focus on aligning the Philippines’ hazardous waste regulations with the updated provisions of the Basel Convention. This initiative aims to identify existing regulatory gaps, assess the socio-economic and environmental implications of the amendments, and support evidence-based reforms to strengthen national compliance and enforcement mechanisms.

Through extensive stakeholder engagement and institutional capacity-building, the project delivers a comprehensive national implementation strategy tailored to the Philippine context.
